FAQ

Do you accept insurance?

I do not work in conjunction with health insurance companies, but I can provide you with a bill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement since I am considered out of network.

Why don't you accept insurance?

  • Eliminating health insurance companies from the equation also means eliminating their rules, regulations, and restrictions from the way you should be treated.

  • This allows me to provide you with one-on-one attention and care that you deserve in efforts to get you better faster.

Traditional physical therapy clinics, that accept insurance, provide you with:

  • Less time with a Doctor of Physical Therapy and more time with physical therapy assistants and/or physical therapy technicians.

  • Shared appointment time with multiple patients (i.e. seeing 3 patients in the same hour).

  • As a result, this leads to: more visits, money, slow progression towards goals and short-term outcomes.

My approach:

  • You will only work with me.

  • We will build a great client-to-clinician relationship.

  •  I will provide you with the proper tools to enhance your recovery progression when you are not with me.

  • As a result, this leads to: fewer visits, saving you time, saving you money, enhanced progression towards goals and improving your long-term outcomes.

How do I know when to seek help from a physical therapist?

  • If you’re experiencing pain, especially with movement, then do not hesitate to seek help from a physical therapist.

  • Physical therapist is coined “the movement experts” of the body.

  • The sooner you receive help for an injury or pain, the quicker the rehab process can get you back to your desired sport or activity.

  • I offer a free over the phone consultation and can refer you to a specialist if needed.

Is a referral from my doctor required for physical therapy?

  • No; under state laws for the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, anyone can access a physical therapist without a physician’s referral via Direct Access.
